Excuse my language, but fuck Blizzard. Fuck them right in the ear. Those whores. No excuse! Madness!

They claimed crap about the "depth" of the story, or the "amount of cutscenes" and so on blahblah... so as to require these separate release... I call bullshit! Myst 5 (or one of them) came out on, like, 5 DVDs or something, and I know you guys have seen games come on more. So unless the first part of the 'trilogy' comes out with something like 1 mission per DVD, then I don't wanna give those greasy thugs any more of my money.

Shame on them!
disgusted

But nice work with the update.

Awesome like a fox! but how would it work? would they need to create a whole new set of missions, or would different players control different aspects (ie- one is resource, one is building, etc)?

How Tom? HOW?

Andy- surely you can give Blizzard some credit, they haven't really shafted us for dollars in the past (Bnet being free comes to mind), so surely there's a good reason for this apparent money grubbing?

They all each want a second walk-in humidor? ...that's the only possible reason I can think of.

"How will the expansion sets impact multiplayer gameplay?
The expansion sets will add new content to each race for use in multiplayer matches. This could include additions such as new units, abilities, and structures, along with new maps and Battle.net updates.

If I buy StarCraft II but don't buy any of the expansion sets, will I still be able to play online?
Yes. This will work similarly to Warcraft III and the original StarCraft, which maintained separate online gaming lobbies and ladders for expansion set players and players with the base Warcraft III or StarCraft."
http://www.starcraft2.com/faq.xml

"separate online gaming lobbies and ladders" ... "separate online gaming lobbies and ladders".

So they are going to be as separate as BW was to SC (as I understand it). That is gay. You can't play multiplayer with all the units unless you buy all 3 of them. Like i said: whores.

Dude they are releasing more games. Are you actually angry at Blizzard for releasing more games? Seriously?

I think that there is something pathalogical at work here.

They also said that it will be released over YEARS. Which means that mean little shrift people like you will be able to hoard your pennies and put them in a bank to possible earn enough interest in order to pay off the next two installments for free.

I am wholy and totally behind this idea. 30 campaigns, more story line, more cut scenes, in game story developement, its all freaking awesome

I loved the cut scenes in Starcraft so I'm glad they are putting the effort into them.
As long as my Battlecruiser captains are still Russian, I'll be happy.

Wow, your personal opinions couldn’t be more wrong, Tom. You see, grown-ups have a thing called ‘money’...

They aren’t releasing more games; they’re splitting one game into three and charging us 3 times as much! *cough* whores!

Starcraft 2 is one game, not several, especially since you can only play one of the three races’ campaigns in each version!! *cough* whores!

Released over years? I didn’t even know that. That is even more gay. They are getting gayer by the minute. You know what they’re doing right now? Circle jerk. circlejerk ...*cough* whores.

Of course you’ll love it, Tom. But that is why you are Queen of France, lover of sodium and all things considered consumables.

On a side note, nobody anywhere ever has earned enough interest in a bank account to buy anything ‘for free’... ever. With the possible exception of you having enough money in your deposit to own the bank.

BS I have earned 13 dollars in interest just this year (since may). I could buy lunch with that.

In Fact... mmmmmmmmmmmm garlic steak.... mmmmm

Why don't we reserve judgement until we see just how much freaking awesome Blizzard packs into this thing rather than basing our estimate of its worth on what we think it's going to cost oposed to what we have paid for games in the past. Somethings worth can't always be judged by a comparison to its competitors.

While you were out “earning” those dollars you failed to realise that lunch prices have inflated by a whopping forfty percent. True story.

I just got this thing in an email, so you guys may have as well. But if you didn't, it's pretty cool.

http://www.starcraft2.com/features/battlereports/1.xml

20min video of two blizzard guys playing an alpha version of SC2, with commentary. What annoys me is that their official SC2 website doesn't seem to have some of these units. Or at least, they seem to be different. What's the deal with that?
