What some bloke in the pub told me aboot FITBA!
Um.
I couldn't find the football talky part of this forum. Granted I went down Nick's route of looking but didn't get as carried away as him (23 seconds! Some of us have time to burn!) and just decided to start one here.
I kinda just wanted to poke fun at Robbie Keane.
Keane vows to end Liverpool title drought
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
This post has next to no chance of biting me on the arse in 10 months.

How much did they pay for him??? £20.3m, thats nutballs. There is no way he is worth that.

Re: What some bloke in the pub told me aboot FITBA!
He's proven goalscorer and creator in the Premier League, even if he is a bit of a tit. 20 million seems right, especially because Tottenham weren't gonna let go of him easily. Like, Anelka is worth 15m, Keane is worth 20m easily.
Good luck ending that title drought, cap'n. He'll be cartwheeling his way to 3rd or 4th along with the rest of them.
Note to Andy or anyone else aghast at the money and use of the word "worth" in this thread: the the football transfer market is a parallel, disturbing universe.

I would have though more like 15m for him. He is 28 and he is on a 4 year contract, I don't know if he going to last another 4 year at the level hes been at.

Chelsea's spending (and United's to a lesser extent) has changed the market, though. Even 2 years ago I'd have agreed with you, but players just cost more now. It's costing 5m just to buy Championship strikers these days.

Wow, the Olyroos sucked bollocks and they were REALLY lucky
to get away with a draw and the seven news portrayal of the game was sickening.

How did seven portray the game? I only watched a bit of it but it seemed like they were just showing the footage. ?

I was very tempted to not make any more replies at all, ever, so as to keep my '666' for all eternity. But I had to say this: I believe the olyroos game was part of the olympics, and it was before the opening ceremony. Indeed.
hmmm, maybe I should have created a new profile...
