Horse jumping.

No real opinion- the sport's been going on for decades (or longer) without complaint, what's changed that they're all dying now?

It's actually banned in most states except VIC and SA, and it was only allowed to continue in those states with alterations made to the jumps e.g. making them shorter or something. The problem was, apparently, that the shorter jumps let the horses go faster, which meant they crashed easier, which meant they died more.
