I just saw the replay of it!! I'm so sorry I ever doubted you Alex. It was glorious! The whole runway thing was made of trampoline! And they flipped and zip-zop-zipped all the way down it!

I think it must have been some sort of novelty event? Surely. Because it looked like each country performed on a different apparatus. Plus they had music playing and the stadium lights turned off with funky coloured lights on instead. Outrageous!

I also agree that boxing should be cut, but I'm not sure that it's that much worse than Judo. Judo also sucks.

As much as I do admire gymnastics (and it does fit into my beliefs of what should be in the olympics) I don't like events that are decided by a judge.
Yeah, cut Judo. I don't see why one martial art is allowed but no others are. Lets see some ninjistu instead. That would be cool.
They can keep greco-roman wrestling though. It may look gay but it has it's place using my logic.

C'mon, the judge is the best part. Especially when you could just have one judge, who could give the thumbs up or the thumbs down. In fact, you could be that judge.

Even better, you could combine gymnastics and fighting! They could battle each other on one long pommel horse, or on the uneven bars. We could call it 'The Fighting Mongooses'. ...I guess ninjitsu sorta already is fighting gymnastics, so yeah, I guess I just wanna see some joojitsu, or whatever. Either that or it sounds like 'Gladiators'. Gladiator events should so be in the olympics. Like the Travelator.

I think we should bring back real gladiator events.
Bring back some excitement to spectator sports.

That does fit in with your letting the competitors loose in down town African slums, and letting them fend for themselves... you know what I'm seeing? Have you ever seen that Van Damme movie, Hard Target? Or the Schwarzenegger one, Running Man? That's what I'm seeing for the future olympics... which I guess is kinda what that Schwarzenegger movie was about, but... whatever.

I was thinking of having the gladiator combat / chariot racing / whatever as a seperate event altogether. Held multiple times a year as well as smaller local ones held at least weekly.

As for those movies, I am sitting less than 2m away from both of them right meow.

It is a good idea though. Hunting people down through African slums.
I had the idea of a version of Survivor where you let all the chumps loose on an island and hunt them down. They have since made my idea into a b-grade movie and haven't paid me anything. I may have to hunt them down now.
