Recipes that we can all enjoy.
Personally i think this thread should have a whole section to itself, but, eh?
i thought that seeing as most of us live out of home now (and those who don't are mostly capable adults) we could post some recipes for dishes that we find 1) Tasty an 2) not too difficult for others to duplicate.
Who knows, perhaps from this we could build a No 's here Cookbook, or similar.
And i love the fact that the word that causes me to cramp does that...

Re: Recipes that we can all enjoy.
Pie pastry:
Add:
1 cup plain flour, 1 cup SR flour 1 teaspoon salt (or 2tspn icing sugar for sweet) and sift into a large mixing bowl. take half a stick of butter (which is about 125gms) and knead it into the mixture until it takes on the consistency of bread crumbs. Slowly stir 1/2 cup water into the mixture using a knife (or something that will cut the liquid through), once the water is stirred in, knead the dough together until it takes on a smoothness (you'll know what i'm talking about when you do it). Lightly dust a clear space with plain flour and divide the dough into 2 unequal parts (1 slightly larger than the other), roll out the larger of the two dough balls to create the base of your pie, once it is evenly spread (large enough to cover the pie dish) transfer it into the dish. Do the same with the other ball, but add filling just before putting the top on. when you are adding the top of your pie, lightly wet the edge (where the top and base will meet the whole way around) to aid in bonding the doughs together. Brush the top of the pie with milk to aid in browning, then simply cut off the excess dough, make a small incision in the top to allow steam to escape and put in the oven for around 30mins (or until brown).
There you have it- Pie!
