TV or Rock Tumbler?
In light of our newfound agreement over the awesomeness of such shows like Flight of the Conchords, this post can be about T.V shows that you've seen and would recommend, and that people are able to "lend" (wink, wink) the DVD's to me.
First on the list to look out for is:
Help (just ignore the kiddy-porn bit. He's still a cool and everythang)
The Mind of the Married Man

Jeesus christ. I'm glad you're contributing, but did you have to put the Wiki page references? I don't want a 10 page dossier about the Macgyver; I don't need to know about the phony-organisations, or about how it's portrayed in the Media, or about his gear! Damnit.
Absolute power is the awesome. Especially because it has that Ben guy from Hotmaths in it.

Re: TV or Rock Tumbler?
the Unit is fun in a mind numbing way
www.cbs.com/primetime/the_unit/
and i saw the start of this one show, Bad Lads Army, about upity english lads getting sent to military school, kinda fun too:
www.itv.com/badladsarmy/
Also Marc will hate it but, Firefly is very good:

But this website is very bad, so woeful i think Crevu had a hand in it.

Why will I hate Firefly? I don't mind Firefly.
I hate the Unit, though, if that makes you feel better.

Re: TV or Rock Tumbler?
I'm gonna recommend The Gruen Transfer. Wednesday nights after Spicks and specks.
James said it was good but I haven't got a chance to watch yet.

But i don't want to catch Gingavitis from Nick's hug...
Spics and Specks is good- and if you can get the old Good News Week (when they were on ABC), bloody funny.
Prisonbreak.
Heroes.
Lost.

Re: TV or Rock Tumbler?
I would also recomend the priemere league on fox sports, there are going into season 17 soon, though they could do with new writers.

Yeah, these "Manchester United" clowns keep winning. It's sooo predictable.
I don't think the point of this thread is just to list a heap of shows you like. It's to make actual recommendations that the people you're recommending it to will like. Like, none of us are gonna watch Heroes, Glen. And tell us what the Gruen transfer is, Al. Otherwise, we could all just post once in this thread with a list of shows we like and it would as boring as a facebook profile.

Re: TV or Rock Tumbler?
The Gruen Transfer is... ok. I think the main reason to watch it (unless you're hyper-interested in advertising, and then you still won't get much out of it) is to see Will Anderson's constant zingers. They are good, he is funny.

Re: TV or Rock Tumbler?
Okie dokie-
Lost- quite good, but you'll need to watch every episode from the start of season 1 (possibly twice) or you'll miss the tiny hints of something greater that infrequently crop up.
Prison-break, really awesome- and it's one of those shows that if you miss something (like a couple of episodes) you can pick up later on, with the assistance of the "Previously on...", and it's really watchable, good characters and some quite good stunts and twists, etc.
Heroes- i thought that season one was bloody good, by the sounds of what Tim Kring said after the end of season 2- it was a mistake brought about by the writer strike. in any case, i have season 1, and it's very good. Even if Marc does hate it.
