I’m so sick of American T.V producers ‘Americanising’ overseas quality T.V. shows/movies.

First they take The Castle movie and change certain lines like “rissoles” to “meat loaf,” because they are retarted.

Then they take The Office and utterly defecate all over it.

Then they take Kath & Kim. Sure, it’s not quality, but my point is that Kath & Kim was made with this kinda ‘low-budgety’ feel to it (not the technical term) e.g. not movie quality film (or whatever they do modern T.V. on), which intentionally added to the feel of the show. But the American version uses all the glossy high-quality film, like they completely missed the whole point and assumed that the original one was done in low quality simply because the Australian industry couldn’t afford it. It’s unbelievably cringe-worthy.

And now I’ve just seen them making a remake of Life on Mars! It was good to begin with, you tossers! And why did they create a new one?

I think calling all Americans stupid while encouraging China is a bit much considering we're talking about television. Do you really want Chinese TV? Constant ads for mobile phones. Yipee. Granted that's not much worse than Australian TV.
